Today was a simple handyman job. The client needed to replace few pieces of FRP.
Fiberglass reinforced panels, or FRP, are thin, flexible plastic panels made of strong polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass. They are used on walls and ceilings and can be installed directly over drywall, wood, concrete block, and many other solid surfaces

Removing FRP always damages the wall where they are installed. There’s no other way. Insert any flat tool under the FRP and start pulling off. I, usually, do not pull at once because if I do, I may cause more damage to the wall. I prefer doing it slowly and using a putty knife to help. Once removed, it’s necessary to scrape everything that may peel to create a correct surface for the new panel.
To cut this panels I used my Dremel 4300 with 1/32 in. Rotary Tool Multi-Pro Chuck, EZ Lock Rotary Tool Mandrel and High Performance EZ Lock Diamond Wheel. I love this tool. There are so many tasks that you can use and so many attachments that make this tool a Swiss Army Knife (I mentioned it because I have one and I love this tool too).
To install the panels I used a Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive or just Liquid Nail.
Once installed, I painted to match and fixed the damaged areas on the wall.
